Kellie Shirley is a young, British actress, critically acclaimed for her work in both the theatre and television. Trained at the B.R.I.T. School (Amy Winehouse, Adele, Kate Nash, The Kooks), Kellie won a 2 year dance and drama scholarship to attend the Webber Douglas Academy at 17. From there, she went on to work at the Royal Court, Soho Theatre, National Theatre Studio and the Lyric Hammersmith.

Most recent theatre credits include 'Rookery Nook' at the Menier Chocolate Factory, 'The Connections' triple bill at the Royal National Theatre's Cottesloe, Ophelia in 'Hamlet' under the direction of Bill Buckhurst and joining the ten year anniversary cast of 'The Vagina Monologues'.

Kellie will be playing 'Melissa' in 'Epic' for the Olivier award-winning Theatre503, which opens and closes this year's Latitude Festival (15th-18th July 2010)

For television, Kellie is best known for playing Carly Wicks in 'Eastenders' for the BBC in which she appeared in over 200 episodes. Oher television credits include Violet in the acclaimed BBC drama 'Twenty Thousand Streets Under the Sky' based on the Patrick Hamilton novel and directed by 'Cranford''s Simon Curtis; Channel 4's Coming Up project 'Happy Slaps' by Michael Kellior; and 'Sex, Football and Videotape', 'Murder City' (ITV) and 'The Office' - Christmas Special (BBC).

Kellie has worked on a number of independent British films including a collection of shorts as well as the award winning 'Venus' (Miramax) and 'Wimbledon' (Working Title/Universal).

Kellie enjoyed a stint as co- presenter on 'Something for the weekend' (BBC2) with Tim Lovejoy.

Kellie's voice over work includes: 'Sony', 'Coors Light' and 'Levonelle One' for which she is represented by Advoice.

Kellie is an ambassador for the charity Mencap and is a patron of 'Magpie Dance' - a dance company who work with dancers with learning disabilities.

'The Baseline' is released on Friday 2nd July in selected cinemas across London including The Richmix, Screen on the Green, Ritzy and Apollo cinema.
